Acknowledging trial registration and updating efforts

Thanks to the ongoing efforts of trial coordinators, study investigators and organisations from around the world, the ANZCTR continues to grow as a data source for regional clinical trial information.

In 2026, the ANZCTR includes:

• 28,000+ studies registered on the ANZCTR, and
• 42,000+ studies searchable, including multinational trials with Australian and New Zealand recruitment sites registered on ClinicalTrials.gov (USA).

Clinical trial registries are essential in supporting trial transparency and public knowledge on health and medical research.

Every trial registration and update on the ANZCTR helps to improve research quality and maximises the impact of trial evidence.
