Outcomes
Primary outcome [1] 346118 0
Identification of key factors associated with the uptake of long-acting injectable antiretroviral therapy (long-acting Cabotegravir + Rilpivirine) among Australian HIV prescribers, including differences in attitudes, knowledge, and perceived barriers/facilitators. Assessment of attitudes, assessment of knowledge, assessment of perceived barriers and assessment of perceived facilitators will be assessed together as a composite primary outcome.
Timepoint [1] 346118 0
At time of survey (cross-sectional)
Secondary outcome [1] 465100 0
Analysis of whether factors associated with the uptake of long-acting injectable antiretroviral therapy (CAP+RPV LA) among Australian HIV prescribers are influenced by prescriber and organisational characteristics. Prescriber and organisational characteristic measures will be assessed together as a composite secondary outcome. Examples of organisational characteristics that will be assessed include: location; service category; funding source (ie. public or privately funded); patient cohort information (ie. size, demographic information); staffing information; details of HIV treatment provision. Examples of prescriber characteristics include: length of time as an S100 (HIV-specific) prescriber; patient caseload; attitudes towards virological failure and medical eligibility for long-acting HIV therapy.
Timepoint [1] 465100 0
At time of survey (cross-sectional).
