Description of intervention(s) / exposure
This observational survey aims to find out the reasons patients and their guardians have in seeking treatment for the orthodontic problems the patients suffer from. The survey is questionnaire based and is a one time survey with no follow up. The semi-structured questionnaire used was designed specifically for this study. The participants were handed out the questionnaires and helped by the principal investigator herself in answering the questions, whilst the patients and their guardians were waiting in the patient waiting area before the first session of their orthodontic treatment. Each participant took around 3-5 minutes to answer the questionnaire.
