Screening interventions - each done to each trial subject on one occasion only.
1) Visual Inspection of the cervix after application o f Acetic Acid (VIA) and after application of Lugol's Iodine (VILI),
2) Cervical Cytology on a Papanicolau smear sample ,
3) Human Papillomavirus testing (Performed on the Papanicolau smear sample)
Cervical Biopsy is the reference standard - taken from all subjects with any abnormality on any test, and on 10% of subjects with all tests normal.
