Description of intervention(s) / exposure
In this study, elite and non-elite judo athletes will be administered two measurements, red beet juice and placebo, one week apart.
Athletes will be randomly selected 2.5 hours before the measurement, elite judo athletes will be given 300 ml of freshly squeezed beetroot juice containing 8.4 mmol nitrate according to sources (Aydin 2019) and non-elite judo athletes (placebo) will be given a drink prepared by adding a minimum amount (50 ml) of red beetroot juice to 300 ml of pure In this study, elite and non-elite judo athletes will be administered two measurements, red beet juice and placebo, one week apart.
Athletes will be randomly selected 2.5 hours before the measurement, elite judo athletes will be given 300 ml of freshly squeezed beet juice containing 8.4 mmol nitrate according to sources (Aydin 2019). ing the Athletes will be instructed to consume the drink within 10 minutes. During the consumption of the drinks, consumption will be under the direct supervision of the researcher so that compliance will be monitored.

Comparator / control treatment
Athletes were randomly assigned to receive 300 ml of pure drinking water (placebo) containing a minimum amount (50 ml) of red beet juice according to the sources (Lansley et al. 2011), 2.5 hours before the measurement. One week later, the same subjects will be tested again with the same drink from the previous measurement 2.5 hours before the test. They will not be given another diet list. They will continue with their usual diet routine

Statistical methods / analysis
-Normality will be assessed by Shapiro-Wilk test.
-Levene's test will be used to assess the equality of variances.
-The assumption of sphericity will also be tested using Mauchly's test.
A two-way, repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) for group (elite and non-elite athletes) × condition (PS and placebo) will be used to analyze each performance outcome.
In this study, G*Power 3.1.9.7 software was used to perform statistical power analysis. In order to determine the sample size, effect size, confidence interval and power value were taken into consideration. In line with the data obtained from previous similar studies, calculations were made with a moderate effect size (Cohen's d = 0.5), 95% confidence interval and 80% power (1-ß = 0.80). In the calculations based on ANOVA analysis for repeated measures, it was determined that a total of 39 individuals, 17 national athletes and 22 individuals engaged in recreational sports, would be sufficient. Therefore, 39 subjects (those who have been practicing judo for at least 5 years) will be included in the study.
